Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v (/kəˑs/ /ˈkʊmuj̼/ [point; time] [thick; broad; fat]) is a subtropical City located in the Nijhobbub Region of the Tetburland.
The name Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v is derived from the Goblin language, as Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v was founded by Shëg̈mëm, who was culturaly Tauran.
Climate
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v has a yearly average temperature of 32°C (89°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 36°C (96°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 29°C (84°F). Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v receives an average of 187 cm/y (73 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v covers an area of nearly 21 km2 (8 mi2), and an average elevation of 628 m (2060 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v was founded durring the early 17th century in late spring of the year 1611, by Shëg̈mëm. The establishment of Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Shëg̈mëm electing to pay people to resettle in Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v.
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v was built using the conventions of Tauran durring the early 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v is buildings are arranged arround a single crampt flagstone mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the city a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The city is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a city of Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v's size could have. The city's well-designed, yet cheep have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the city.
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v has the unmistakable air of a city on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v ’s existence has dried up and the city is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The locals seem to have responded to their slow downfall by recreating Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v as one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which the city brings to mind.

Cultural Notes
The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.
Kāskùmuiē̼ Ji̊ Qi̊v's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.
